Lanx Fabric Users: Innovation and Versatility

Our customers represent a very diverse and innovative group of people. It is our experience that LANX supplies the technology and the end users work creatively to assemble a protective apparel system tailor made to their needs. The examples listed below illustrate the versatile nature of LANX protective apparel.

Military: Special Operations, ordinance, aviation, Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Teams, Technical Escort Unit, depot workers and armor crews employ the LANX Chemical Protective Undergarment (CPU) for the purposes of covert operations, demilitarization operations and other applications requiring protection from a chemical/biological warfare agent threat.

Law Enforcement: SWAT/Tactical Teams, Security Details, Bomb Squads, WMD Crime Scene investigations, crowd control or routine patrols. Depending on the application, our Chemical Protective Overgarment (CPO) or Chemical Protective Undergarment (CPU) are equally popular with the law enforcement profession.

Fire and Rescue: In response to emergencies at incidents involving chemical/biological warfare agents, LANX Technology represents a lightweight, breathable alternative to heavier types of personal protective apparel (PPE) that may not be appropriate for the work and the threat. The LANX CPU is often worn beneath Level A and Level B protective apparel as a backup in the event that the outer suit suffers a cut or breach. The CPO provides liquid, vapor and aerosol protection for those monitoring the perimeter of a "hot zone" or other personnel requiring extended protection to work for longer periods of time. The light weight CPO reduces heat stress compared to other, less breathable, protective ensembles.

Medical Responders: On scene EMS responders require protection during the triage, preparation and transportation of patients. Other end users include on scene rehabilitation monitors and hospital/ emergency room caregivers worried about the threat of direct contamination or off-gassing patients. Mass casualty situations will require protective apparel that provides extended protection, user comfort and maneuverability for the medical
responder.

Incident Support Personnel: Any personnel involved with supporting the mission of a WMD incident require protective apparel to guard against exposures resulting from secondary devices, wind shifts or other situations that may result in contamination.

Others: Training facilities tasked with teaching first responders in live WMD environments such as the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, Alabama, use LANX to protect the students and faculty. Other end users include news reporters, private corporations and public entities with responsibilities within the danger area of a WMD event such as infrastructure support and communications.
